Asian Sensation: Your fighter Jonathon Banks was down two times in the first round. What did you tell him when he came back to the corner after the first round?
Emmanuel Steward: First I congratulated him on holding and clinching, and then it was just to settle down and quit throwing punches from too far back, to just start working his jab.
AS: In the third round, it looked like Castillo had hit the wall. Banks was coming on with alot of aggressive combinations. Did you feek you had the fight going in your direction by that point?
ES: Yep, at the end of the second or third round. I could see it was definitely going in his direction.
AS: Your fighter Andy Lee is fighting on the undercard of the Rahman-Maskaev fight. Who is he sparring with in preparation of the fight?
ES: Everybody. Jonathon Banks, Aaron Pryor Jr., Jermain Taylor, Kermit Cintron. They all box together.
AS: How does Andy Lee juxtapose against another Irish fighter John Duddy?
ES: I'm glad to see two kids like that from one country, its really unbelievable doing so well over here. The most talked about middleweights may be these two Irish guys, three with James Moore. If they do fight a few years from now, it will be the biggest middleweight fight in history?
AS: Really? Bigger than Marvin Hagler and your man Tommy Hearns?
ES: It will be everything, no this will be big. The TV, the PPV systems that have grown so much, and if its here in NY its different. That fight, with the Irish population and the story behind it, you end up making 10 percent, you could end up with 60 million homes for that fight. Thats over $300 million, I see it realistically. Boxing is picking up, PPV is picking up.
