I don't think Porter would have taken this fight if he didn't think he had even a puncher's chance. He has been sparring with a CW for this fight. Yes, Spence is a large WW, he probably walks into the ring close to 170 on fight night, maybe better. Porter is also big himself. Can't let a fighter's height throw you off. Mikey walks around at 165+, but because he is 5'6" he is considered a "small" WW. Same with Porter.

Now, to answer, just go look at the average WW dimensions and get back to me but I guarantee that very few of them are 5'10" with a 72" reach and enter the ring in the 170's. He's almost Roy Jones' size and Jones started at 154 lbs. and beat a heavyweight champ at his heaviest.
Point made & affirmed. Spence has always had a size advantage.
The end.

SRL -5’ 10 1/2”. 74”reach at WW
Tommy Hearns- 6’1”. 78” reach at WW
SRR- 5’ 11”. 72 1/2” reach at WW
Wilfred Beneitez- 5’10”. 70” reach at WW
ODLH- 5’10”. 73” reach at WW
Félix Trinidad 5’11” 72 1/2” reach at WW
I could add 20 more boxers to this list and for each and including those I’ve listed I can also give you boxers that were shorter with smaller reaches that have beaten them. So please save me your emotions, go back read up on boxing history and catch up with me later.Last edited by Boxingfanatic75; 09-27-2019, 11:47 AM.

And I am in my 40's dummy and got into boxing because of SRL and Tyson in the 80's.
And do you think it's a coincidence that you're naming nothing but all time greats who went on to be successful at higher weight classes? You're so naïve that you don't even know that you reinforced my point.
Now, here are the heights and reaches of the top ten current ww's not including Spence:
Crawford - 5'8" and 74" reach (also a massive size whore when he was at lower weights)
Pacquiao - 5'6.5" and 67" reach
Porter - 5'7" and 69.5" reach
D. Garcia - 5'8" and 68.5" reach
Thurman - 5'7" and 69" reach
M. Garcia - 5'6" and 68" reach
Khan - 5'8.5" and 71" reach
Lipinets - 5'7" and 67" reach
Ugas - 5'9" and 69" reach
Now that you have that info I'll also tell you that the only decent fighter that Spence has beaten that was his size was Ocampo and he was trash who had beaten NOBODY.
How Spence can be the #1 WW while beating washed up Peterson, non-WW Mikey Garcia and already shot Kell Brook is beyond me. And yes, he had size advantages over all 3 with the Garcia fight being a joke.
So get off Spence Jr. is average WW size crap. He's a size advantage wh@re and trust me, he won't be a WW much longer.
Bye Bye

Mikey (diff weight class)- champion
Pacquiao- champion
Porter- champion
Garcia (former champion)
Khan- former champion
Based on your logic if Spence beat each one of those boxers it’s because he had a size advantage or was a weight bully or too big for the division (or insert the next great excuse here). If you truly watched Tyson how do you explain his rise? How do you also explain Ruiz’ rise? In Tyson he was the smallest man in his division. In Ruiz he too is one of the smallest men in his division so why didn’t AJ whoop up on Ruiz? He has the longer reach. He is a much taller fighter. I’m basing your response on subject ignorance. Your logic dictates that whenever the bigger guy wins it’s because he has all these advantages but have yet to explain when the opposite occurs. Face it, Spence is a super talented elite boxer.
Again, you know little of boxing history or a reading comprehension problem. I did say elite didn’t I? I think I said elite boxer. I do also think I said I can provide you the list of smaller boxers that have beat “the greats.” In addition since you opened your suck and have already firmly placed your foot within it that non WW Mikey as you call him is an elite fighter and elite fighters make interesting and great matchups. Shall I further educate you in boxing and on lighter weight class elites moving up and not only surviving fights but also beating their much bigger foe? These “jokes” as you call them are actually decent opposition. Bottom line is a boxer’s skills defines whether or not he wins. You just don’t like Spence. Admit it and we can then have an interesting conversation
