So Arum has Fury, Rivas, Jennings, Pulev, Takam , Kabayel now. Nice. They can make some good fights there.

Been a lot of changes and power plays in the boxing world these last few years and the smaller promotions are having to evolve new ways of surviving.

Myself I like the messy old ways with the smaller promoters swimming round the edges always on the lookout for that one star that could break 'em into the big time, but I think those times may be at an end in this Brave New boxing world of ours.
Perhaps an antitrust lawsuit is in order against Bob Arum for his exclusivity deal. If it's causing other promoters to HAVE to work with him.

I guess you'd have to contact the relevant legal experts.

I'm merely making the observation that that's the way the promotional wheel seems to be turning but I seriously doubt any of it is actually illegal. If you like to believe there's 'goodies' and 'baddies' in this game, man, that's on you.

They just became another sham promoter working for Top Rank. Like Kathy Duva.

You are familiar with the term "sham promoter," right? That's what Bob Arum called all the promoters who were working with Al Haymon when he filed a federal antitrust lawsuit against him.

This is supposed to be a violation of the Ali Act.
Nah this is a co promotion. Like Munguia with golden boy. Sham promoter is when the promoter of record doesn’t have a contract with a fighter. Like TGB promoting Spence vs porter

Nah it’s no different than Zanfer taking Munguia to golden boy or Zanfer taking Nery to pbc or Zanfer taking Berchelt to top rank.

In those cases I could see a Mexican promoter needing to use an American promoter in order to help navigate US rules and regulations.

But Joe DeGuardia is based in America already.

He doesn’t have any tv deals. Shakur Stevenson has a co promoter in antonio Leonard and some other guys. It’s very common
