He is still a crafty southpaw with good skills.

I could see Corrales beating Casamayor by boxing or by brawling. Boxing worked for him in the 2nd fight so I think it would work now. I thnk all those amateur bouts and years of making weight have taken a toll on Casamayor. If he starts slow, I'm not very confident he'll ever have time to get back into the fight.

I don't think I scored Corr-Casa II, Scap. I just remember it looked like a clear but close UD for Corrales. I'm only hoping that Corrales is damaged enough to give Casa a 50-50 shot to win this.

Either way you put it the lights and superfeather weight's are showing the Welterweights how it should be done. They are each fighting each other with little of the BS that we now see in the welters which is actually much deeper in talent.

I said in a post a month or so back in a thread "Which is the best division". I posted that Superfeather and lightweight are the best because all the tops fight each other and welter is the most talent rich division. Corrales is keeping the tradition of the lighter weights fighting it out in the ring and not at press conferences.

Well if your looking for a 50-50 shot for Joel this fight fan thinks youve got it!

Lightweight-When was the last time Chico Corrales boxed his way to victory? He did it in 1 fight a long time ago and barely hung on for the W...the championship rounds were not pretty-down right ugly and awkward.

Look at his last two fights with Castillo...both phone booth wars...I have always said that Corrales is not a boxer and people mistake his lengthy frame and his long reach for that of a boxer but he has never been one and whatever pure boxing skills he has he may have forgotten by now...especially with the style at which his last 2 bouts were fought.

If I have a lean in this U pickem fight it is for Casamayor-your gonna be a happy man-I have a feeling.

Now if Roy could just get iced one more time I would be most grateful...I kid the conservative.

Yeah I always thought Corrales was unable to box Castillo. But he was able to do it pretty well vs Casamayor for whatever reason (Goosen's inside knowledge) and if both Corrales and Casa are equally faded as compared to their 1st fight, then this one should go the same way.

Maybe I'm giving Corrales too much credit. Actually I could see him forgetting his boxing due to Castillo mindset he'as had for so long now. Hard to tell...I'm rootin for my boy Casa though, dirty headbutts and lowblows and everything.

I think Corrales has more left ih his tank...the end...casamayor is a great warrior but if he gets in there and looks the way he did a couple weeks ago...no shot.....
