Abel isn't exactly going out on a limb here. It's why Canelo opened as better than 4-1 favorite. His fans can minimize the facts all they want but there's no debating that Kovalev is 36 yrs old, is 4-3 in his last 7, has been stopped twice in those last 7 fights and is fighting on a 10 week turnaround. Canelo is 29 and will have been off for 6 months by November 2. Not to mention that Kovalevs last fight vs Yarde was rugged and he took punishment, while Canelo vs Jacobs was a chess match where neither guy inflicted much damage. Canelo will be way fresher than Kovalev.
