    A bad story gets story worse as Bulgarian media writes that the fighter who was reported to have died in the ring was NOT Isus Velichkov - but another fighter named Boris Stanchov, who has no known professional boxing record.

    "When and how this replacement of opponent was made isnīt known but it appears to be a fact that Stanchov used Velichkovīs license and thus also his permission to fight and then also his medical records - which means that Stanchovīs medical condition was unknown as he stepped into the ring in Shkoder, Albania on Saturday night in what could be a major scandal."

    Holy ****! how bad must the regulations be that this was allowed to happen

        Incredibly lax admin. But earlier point stands: so this guy dies in the ring and the next 2 fights carried on just as if nothing had happened. That is really messed up.

                Is anybody paying attention out there ......

                No oversight, no regulation and no rigid organizational structure causes this kind of sh!t to happen.

                    If boxing makes it another 30 years, I feel like we'll be able to look back and tell insane stories about how poorly it was run.
