He has not looked the same in years. Gabe Rosado was even beating him up 6 years ago before he got cut.

Inactivity had nothing to do with
How lackluster you fight as a veteran pro who still holds his head straight up all night. I can’t even see good basic fundamentals in you so please retire; because any of the champions could seriously hurt you. You are washed up!

He was supposed to go on there and knockout Angulo as a showcase, but instead looked like Bernard Hopkins vs Joe Smith

Sorry about your statement but
Bernard Hopkins didn’t look that bad, he was caught with some dam good shots! This kid skill level sucks, and he had a slow plodder in front of him who had been shot himself for years so not sure how he’s done with his money but maybe he could try Uber drivers are needed.

Quillin was most likely somewhat overhyped right from the beginning and has surely never been the same since he got blown away by Jacobs, but I still thought he'd have more than enough to power past Angulo no problem. I haven't seen the fight yet, so maybe Angulo has somehow found a second wind in his career, but he's been so badly shot for so long now that I'm just not able to entertain the thought of anyone he'd be capable of beating having any chance at a serious level. Quillin's career has already suffered from juicing allegations and that Jacobs blowout, and this has surely got to be a step too far. I don't think he's got any other choice but to retire.

Quillen is the perfect example of a Al Haymon fighter who gave up millions in turned down fights and also vacated titles due to Haymon's advice.
He is one of the 1st fighters who was promised the moon by Haymon, but is now passed is prime, and the chickens have come home to roost.
In 2015, he turned down millions in offered fights, one was against Korobov, he also gave up his title. In 2015 he was saying Quillen vs GGG is bigger than May vs Paq. In 2015 he stated that Haymon is going to make him a superstar thus making him millions.
Forward to 2019 and Quillen is an old 36. Not only did he never see another world title around his waist, but his most recent statement is, “It’s a good thing my wife has a job".
His career went to sh** once he signed and listened to Al Haymon.
This is the future that awaits the large majority of Haymon fighters.

He needs to retire. He can stop pit punches together when he wants but he's losing his reflexes and legs. He had that Muhammed Ali look in his eyes too which kinda disturbed me a little. I don't know, he just seems like he's primed to suffer permanent damage against someone good if he keeps going. Get out while you can.
