You know I lived in Rye, NH for about 5 years and which is like minutes aways from Hampton Beach where the GREAT Ward boxed one time??? Portsmouth was one of the coolest towns and Salem (Which he fought there also) was freaking cool as well. LOVED it during Halloween season.

Exactly right, he has his own promotional company and he had a direct contract with dazn....what role is there for GBP really?

Like Oscar and Floyd before him, Canelo no longer needs GBP. They helped get him out of his small time promoter’s contract and got big fights for him but he calls the shots now.
He can easily partner up with DAZN directly and his business manager can help him secure endorsements without Golden Boy taking such a large cut and using his name to secure their own deals on the side.
About time Canelo checked Oscar. Unlike a lot of fighters he understands the promoter works for him not the other way around.
