Alvarez had quality wins over JP & Bute, both him & Yarde were also really large guys that hit much harder than Canelo & are probably more durable. They were also very aggressive & still got knocked out.

Canelo couldn't put a dent in Chavez, Jacobs, ggg etc. He has respectable power but going from 154-175 in such a short time is dangerous.

I go back to Jean Pascal because his power didn't carry up nor did Hopkins & several other guys. They got walked through & rained bombs on. If Canelo can't hurt Kovalev or counter that jab he will make easy work.

I'm just basing it off what I've seen from recent MWs & SMWs that moved up & their struggles and Canelo is initially a 154lber. What he's doing is almost unprecedented.

Only Roy Jones Jr. Has done such a thing & he didn't attempt to fight a top 2 guy in the division.
Nelo isn't susceptible to getting hurt, much less ended and I don't think he will be fighting a version of Kov that will get caught.

When grown men throw punches at each other, ''anything'' can happen but I'm expecting it going 12.

Neither were JP, Cleverly, Alvarez, Ward, Hopkins & these guys are much bigger than Canelo arguably as talented or better all were stopped or hurt at some point.

You cannot forget, 160 is one of the weakest divisions in boxing. We've seen multiple 160lbers fall to 154lbers & 168lbers when they move up & down in weight. The supposed top guy ggg couldn't even stop Jacobs, took him 11 to stop Murray, 9 to stop Lemieux, got in a 10 round war with Ouma etc. The guy isn't very good. Sergey would steam roll DJ in 3.

Sergey has the power to end it at any time, even with his jab, Canelo will have to be ultra aggressive getting on the inside & avoiding big shots.

This will be a classic bout, book it. Canelo wins and he's on his way to Mayweather status.
            Nice Knock Out by Canelo
