Why can't Loma go up ONE division at 140 to fight an old and part-time fighter Pacquiao that will boost his popularity worldwide and make the most he'll ever make in a single fight? WHY? WHY?
Because it's his career and his choice not yours, He is a featherweight fighting at lightweight and that should be more than enough, But no, you want him to lose at 140. Not going to happen.

Loma doesn't need to move anywhere. All he needs to do is beat Davis, the rest would be a bonus.

He should target specific money fights. This, he's moving down to 130 BS, is ******. Loma is at the conclusion of his career. Fight only big money fights.

These types of threads have a pretty obvious motivation.

People want a way to denigrate Loma. So they dream up some kind of 'test' which he has to pass in order to meet their deranged criteria of 'greatness'.

In this case, the criteria is moving up in weight divisions.

It is weird that we have people - who believe that they know about boxing - pretending that greatness means fighting above your best weight class.

It's an arbitrary threshold created by people who just want some rationalisation or excuse to withhold Loma his due respect.

          Loma doesn't dictate to Pacquiao!
Besides if Loma want to fight the big boy's he has to move up in weight not the other way around.

I agree. I don't really care if a boxer stays in one weight class their whole career. The question is, is he fighting the best in the division?

Too bad Loma's division sucks, which makes people ask for him to fight a name boxer at least (Pac being the obvious example). Mikey another.

The division is ****ed up now with Davis. Is Loma gonna waste his time pursuing trinkets?

Excellent question my brother. Nobody knows the answer. Maybe it could be that the experience with Siri Salido hurt Lomachenko really deep in his psyche so he doesn’t want to take those unnecessary risks anymore, especially with weight.

Also Pac is a legendary fighter, if we put Loma and Pac in there primes, it would be a brutal knockout.

The real problem with Loma is that he isn’t fighting the rest of this year.. he wants to fight the winner of Commey and Lopez, but depending on how that fight goes, it could literally be a whole 10-13 months he doesn’t fight.

Dude is in his 30s fighting one fight a year and beating B class British fighters.

Definition of a great white hope. However history exposes all, always remember that. And history won’t be kind to Lomachenko

                      - -TUE 50-0 never went up two div in his misbegotten life, but Manny jumped 3 div after Fly and then Lightwt to welter for a fight against Oscar that TUE not only ducked out on in the middle of promotions, but retired, the first of many retirements when the heat got too hot.

Why don't Loma fight Ali @ 168? We wanna know!
