Sparring someone is one thing. Actually doing it in a sanctioned fight is different.

For those of you saying Kovalev is shot, he's currently the #1 LHW in the world... Oh and name a current LHW with a better resume?

Golovkin won't even move up to take on a bum at 175 let alone kovalov.....the guys entire career was based on what he did in sparring. No one at this point cares about his useless sparring stories

When you looked at the Kovalev/Jackson feud, the Krusher loses credibility, because even fellow Russians dont like him .

Gvozdyk, Bivol, Beterbiev all beat Kovalev fairly easy.

And Hagler, a top ATG Middleweight didn't move up either, newbie.

              That's your subjective opinion.

Fact is, when it came time for me to fight Kovalev, I pulled out of the purse bid and Bivol just wasn't ready.

Objectively speaking, Kovalev is the #1 Light Heavyweight with a better resume than all of us.

But Golovkin moved all the way up to Cruiserweight..... In sparring.

Just like all fighters that spar guys at higher and lower weights.

Unfortunately, these sparring partners use to count as victories on Golovkins record according to his fan base. I was on another site and all I use to read about was how he was KO'ing CW's/HW's in sparring which somehow made it so they were victories on his resume
