His mandatory is now Carlos Adames. If he's staying at 154 he needs to fight him since he's not fighting any of the other champs
I have a fair question for the BOXING MEDIA...I hear you guys ask Terence Crawford about unifying vs PBC 147s. And Jermall Charlo about fighting DAZN 160s. But I never hear anyone ask Munguia about PBC 154s. He's had about 4 handpicked title defenses. Just curious....

probably a fair question tbh
the fact is... Munguia is in the same position that Joseph Parker, Anthony Joshua, and a bunch of other fighters have found themselves in...
holding a strap... but not ready to defend it against all comers
really difficult, and there are three factors.....
1) when you win a vacant title... or are elevated to championship level... you should at least be expected to defend against your mandatory... if not all comers
2) it is extremely difficult for a promising fighter (or any fighter really) to pass up on a lucrative opportunity... boxing is a sport, and a business
3a) FACT: there are too many titles
3b) FACT: the multiple sanctioning organisations are STILL the obvious cause, of most of the problems within boxing today... the networks are gaining fast, but are not there yet
we would not be faced with that question if there was only one beltComment

Jrock didn’t fight for his first world title till he was 26 and got knocked the phuck out... so why is bread tripping? Munguía is what 21-22??? I’m starting to think bread has an inner hate for Mexicans and a bias toward blacks... which I mean there isn’t any issue with it as long as the mfer admits it... I’m biased for my Mexican people I’ll always support my people... but no one knows me, this mfer supposed to be some type of public figure in the boxing world. He just like Paulies b:itch assComment

He doesn't get a pass from me. The guy he just fought was ranked 147th in the world by boxrec. He fought only one decent fighter in defense of his title and that was Smith. The other challengers were complete cherrypicks. Nothing fans can do about it.Comment

It should not matter how young he is. He won a world title so he has an obligation as a champion to fight top contenders not cherry picks. This isn't on the job training. If he is not ready to be a good champion then don't go winning a world title. Munguia has been a lousy champion fighting unworthy challengers and it doesn't matter if he is Mexican and young. He is either a good champion who fights top contenders or he isn't and so far he isn't. I loved him when he won the title and then beat good challenger Smith but he has disappointed me since then.Jrock didn’t fight for his first world title till he was 26 and got knocked the phuck out... so why is bread tripping? Jaime's been getting cooked for picking nobodies to fight, being @ the receiving end of a gift vs Hogan & is criticized for being a punching bag.
The idiot who posts garbage on social media is an Anti-Mexican fćggét who's mad that Canelo is the face of boxing who is going to destroy Charcoal, Eggroll, & Doo Doo 💩 in the near futureComment
