Perfect title defence against a num 1 guy, what can be better, sure will be more competitive than Spence-Ocampo or Loma-Crolla. Actually like someone already mentioned it'll be the first test for Crawford at 147, he's had Postol at 140, now Egis at 147, second real opponent for p4p prince

It’s not like this is any kind of shock. We all knew when TC resigned with TR that these are the kinds of fights we’d be getting.

Eddie Hearn made those fights possible, not the PBC. Wilder is fighting Fury specifically because his brand was damaged in a fight against a retired name that he was supposed to beat but instead made him look like a 1 dimensional, 3rd rate.

As for Charlo, Eddie Hearn offered Charlo more than he's ever made and he turned it down so don't act as if Charlo and Crawford are in the same situation, it's not, that's patently untrue. The PBC isn't offering Crawford anything but convenient excuses to be repeated in an echo chamber of BS.

This is prize fighting! Belts are NOT the prize! Spence will NOT be fighting Crawford on ESPN! If he beats Porter and Pacquiao, Crawford has ZERO leverage!

But they sure as hell are keeping Spence from Crawford. And yes, that is the fight that 98% of the fans, pros and experts want to see from Kellerman to Dan and Manny, Danny Garcia, Thurman and every fighter on the planet.

This is typically what Top Rank gives you, folks. Absolutely dreadful matchups.

And if a network should demand better fights Arum will get mad and say they are trying to play matchmaker. Just like he did with HBO.
True about Fury but that's not true about Crawford. Terrance has offered career high pay days to PBC fighters and they always have excuses. He can't force them.

Poor analogy, why not just mention Lomachenko while your at it? Loma once ate a lot of pizza and weight 147 so he's really a welterweight and he's ducking Spence.

Your affection for a promotion company is a perspective killer.

No one is paying for any of Thurman's rematches (Pac, DSG, Porter). He should know that! No shame in getting beat by Pacquiao and Crawford, so long as the reward is worth the risk!
All Thurman has is his brand and he's not going to risk it on either Spence or Crawford. He'll rematch with Porter, Danny and some other once was name to keep the paychecks coming in.

Every single promoter does this. Look at who Gervonta Davis and Jermall Charlo have fought recently.

The difference is that Fury can fight whomever he wants, hard to excuse his choices. Davis and Charlo have been offered the big names and big money and they declined so it's hard to give them a pass. Comparatively, nobody is offering Crawford anything or even want to fight him, not even for record pay.

He offered Charlo a mulri-fight contract, not a contract to fight Andrade or GGG! The PBC doesn't need to offer Crawford anything when they have 2 other WW Champions in their own stable! That's why I say Charlo and Crawford are similar! The big difference is Crawford signed an extension with TR knowing they were very thin @ WW.
