Why doesn’t boxing have an AP poll and Trainer’s poll like CFB?

Why not?

The sport is very similar to college football in that there isn’t an official champion.

So why not have the associated press do a poll and award championships? And why not have a group of boxing trainers vote with the same goal in mind?

I think it would go a long way to helping people ignore all these ABC belts.

None of the abc groups have started one so the ones that do something similar hold no weight anyway.
