Well, seeing as how I beat both the # 1 (and the reigning world champion) AND # 2 rated amateurs in the WORLD in my weight class I would say that qualified me.

I won decisions over # 1 rated (and world champion) Darin Allen (he beat Henry Maske to win the title) and Pan-Am Games silver medalist and # 2 rated Otis Grant. I also lost a 3-2 split to # 5 rated Freddy Sanchez in a fight held in his home GYM in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Also... I have never been down in either a pro or an amateur fight. I was stopped at the end of my pro career by Thadzi.... long story I suppose (its all explained in my book) Iwas never hurt in the least bit in the fight but I was just not fighting. I didnt want to fight and I didnt. Too long of a story for this forum
