Why are Eastern European dominated weight classes...

Makes it so easy for unification fights and the best fighting the best?

Cruiserweight we got Huck Usyk. Breidis vs Usyk. Gassiev vs Usyk. Dorticos vs Gassiev.

when the smoke cleared we found out the best guy was Usyk.

Now we got Bivol vs Barrera. Beterbiev vs Gvozdyk. Stevenson vs Gvozdyk. and soon enough LHW smoke are clearing fast.

yet in the welterweight or american dominated weight classes takes incredibly long for unification fights to the point that it doesn't happen at all.

Cruiserweight was a tournament. Little different.

And Canelo throwing his hat into the Kovalev ring ****s up unification at 175 IMO.

Because none of those fighters are a big enough draw for money matters to get in the way of making quality fights.

The cruiserweight was a tournament yet all the guys are immediately jumping on it. Yet when tournaments where suggested in american dominated weight clases we got alot of hissyfit from other fighters screaming whose a side and ****.

Beterbiev and Gvozdyk are with the same promoter it has nothing to do with being Eastern

Cruiserweight is an overlooked division easier to make those types of fights in less sexy division like CW and lower weight classes

In the WBSS? They did 168 which is mostly UK fighters, 118 which has no American fighters, and 140 where the final is an American and a Scot.

The issue is promotional companies, you know that. Especially with the tournament being on DAZN for season 2, promoters weren’t sending their guys to fight on another network (unfortunately)

How is it different? The guys volunteered to participate in the tournament. The only chance of a tournament is in house Haymon one. Because he refuses to allow his title holders to take on fighters from other promoters unless he has to.

Because they’re tougher than pampered baby American fighters.
