So then neither he nor anyone else has a right to complain.

He could have postponed it for another time. When he had ideal preparation conditions.

He just fought 3 weeks ago so yes he'll be in good shape. It's actually in 7 weeks so 3-4 weeks rest and 6-7 weeks training camp should have him in peak form. It will be easier at for him to peak this way than trying to get into it after a long period of debauchery as long as they don't try to weight drain him with an unrealistic catch weight.

Depends on the where you are when starting, you need a base then grind out the core then peak to finish, Kov already has the base he will ease off in the beginning and not grind for more than 2-3 weeks be more about maintaining than building I would think and then re peak which takes 7-10 days.

Its a short camp and his main concern would be to not over do it as he just came of a gruelling camp and fight.

There is no catch weight. That narrative can be put to bed.

That's good. I'm hearing chatter about a rehydration clause but I'm not sure if it's just rumours or not...hopefully it's not true and it's a straight out LH bout. If so I'd expect Kovalev to win the majority of rounds but no KO...so a Canelo decision of course.

It's ok to simply give Canelo full credit instead of continuously moving the goalposts and finding something else to bitch about when it comes to him.

You normally take a month off no sparing after a 12 round fight like that. This is to avoid CTE / CTBI brain damage
I didn’t say spar. He can be running hitting pads etc
