At kovalev's age he needs more time for his body to recover from a gruelling fight which he just had and took some damage too so yeah nov 2 is a bit too early to fight again.

This is true. Clearly Kovalev is DESPERATE for a payday and they are taking what's available. Usually cash cows like Alvarez don't just look for an opponent. They have a date set and the date takes precedence over the opponent. And if you don't submit to their terms, they will find someone else for that date.

If Kovalev's people were looking out for him, they'd of tried to push back this fight. Now he can either avoid sparring till the last week or so and just train, or he'll have to risk taking a pounding while already potentially having a concussion from the Yarde fight.

The Canelo nutriders want to desperately overlook this and call it built in excuses, to try and spin the narrative of what a great feat this is.

But context matters. This is the same guy who didn't wanna fight full fledged Middleweights at the full 160 limit and instead made them agree to 155 catchweight fights. But now he wants to go to 175?
