If Kovalev goes in there with the mentality of cashing out and bending over backwards, he will get his ass beat and stopped with body shots.

But if Kovalev goes in there with the mentality of a real man, takes a stand and goes for the kill, I truly believe he has a good chance of being the first person to drop or stop Canelo.

I think we discovered his mental state in his last fight. He's definitely refocused, and dedicated to his training. But, he's also slower, with less pop on his punches.

If he takes a catchweight he's not beating Alvarez, regardless of what his mental state will be going into the fight.
