Loma can take a non-title fight slightly above 135. Kinda like a tune-up fight so that he won’t get rusty by then. But if he wants to wait it out it’s understandable too.Comment

Dang. I was hoping to see him again this year, but oh well. Hopefully we get the unification fight in March!Comment

Maybe he can do a defense of the WBC belt against Haney if he wins tomorrow?
I'm sure Eddie Hearn can come up with a big offer. And Arum had no problem working with him for the likes of Luke Campbell.Comment

Lomachenko licking his chops after that last fight Lopez looked mediocre in vs a lesser opp. Now he knows who he is and now he’s worthy of a fight. Lol.
I don’t think Lopez is very good but he’s still learning. He has a long way to go before getting in the ring with Lomachenko. He and his handlers should hold off, get some more tough fights in, rack those W’s. It’s too early.Comment

At the rate he's going, will Lomo ever surpass 20 wins???
Lomo is 31 (will be 32 by his next fight) with a 14-1 record. If you do the math, at his current rate of 2 fights a year, it's another 3 years to get 6 wins. He'll be 34/35, with a 20-1 record. All of this is assuming he doesn't take any more L's or suffer major injuries while stepping up his competition level. If he loses or suffers an injury, tack on even more years to get to 20 wins.
For a little guy who relies on speed and reflexes, will be want to keep fighting past age 35 when his physical skills are diminshed?? Sure could drop down in weight or fight bums to pad his record, but the weight cut won't be so easy in his mid 30's without much excess body fat. My guess is he retires with maybe 21/22 wins, but it's really an open question.Comment

Being injured gave him a lot of time to do other things he wants instead of boxing. Hes almost reached his goal of becoming undisputed. Once he does what's left for him?Comment

Hes probably done soon. Hes already most likely at the end of his career. If you've followed him you can definitely tell hes lost some of that fire.

Watch his YouTube channel. Lately hes been talking about life after the sport. He likes to fish and hunt. He bought a drift car and is pretty good at drifting himself. I think he also talks about injury too. It's like a 20 minute interview.
His goal for a while has been to become undisputed. If he becomes undisputed then what?
What more could he achieve from the sport? Lomachenko has never been about making money. He doesnt want to go to 140. He wont go to 147. There are few big name fighters 126-135 currently and hes gonna be 32 soon.
The only fight that I'd be curious to see if it could be made is Loma-Inoue but that is so far out I doubt Loma could make 126 and that Inoue would be decent at that weight given Lomachenkos age. Dude is fighting at 118 now and would have to jump two more classes soon. Doubtful but interesting.Comment
