Why the **** isn't Andy fighting on Independence Day?
I heard a lot of **** leading up to their rematch, none of it had anything to do with fighting for the Mayan belt. The ****'s he want Tyson to do? Put on a show for the Mexicans but take no pride in putting on a show for Mexicans?
Ruiz is either ill informed, wants that attention, or is just being a *****. Nothing wrong with Tyson being proud to perform for the Mexican audience in America.
The WBC could have this Mexican fight in Mexico featuring Mexicans. The WBC chose America and chose Fury. Want more Mexican in yer Mayan title fights? Tell the WBC not the good men willing to put on a show.
Also, seriously, **** the Mayan belt. What the **** is that ****? Where's my Eagle? Where's the British Lion? Why ain't Germany got a Falcon? We all got some kind of national pride holiday.....but Mexico, so important to boxing history, they're who has earned a special celebration in boxing. Not because the WBC is Mexican but because Mexico is sooooooooo important.
If we're going to have ****** trophy belts they should, bare minimal, be boxing centric. I'd at least respect the celebration if they were fighting for something that meant something to boxing once.
England and Greece should have goofy trophy titles before Mexico. How about a little thank you to the dudes what made this sport? No? **** that ****? We is Mexican so we is put on Mexican title fight between two Euros.....makes ****in' sense.
Get me a British Lion what symbolizes the birth of modern boxing. That's a title anyone could hold and be an honor to win and remind us fans annually just where this sport came from.
Get me a mother ****in' golden figg reef to symbolize the ancients and pay respect for them taking their martial art and making it a sport to inspire the English.
Get me my Eagle and remind this ***** who made this sport global.
Just a ton of **** more important to boxing than the Indie day in Mexico.
How about *gasp* a ****in lineal? Okay the WBC can't do lineal as the purpose of lineal is to set aside the WBC, but, they can do traditional. Make a belt like Sully's and give that **** to who would be champion under bare knuckle era traditions.
Why no p4p title? I mean it wouldn't mean much to me, but, more than a ****in' Mayan belt. WBC p4p champion is something more than a ****in' Mayan at least.
Mexico....the **** has Mexico done outside been a great opponent for America? I guess they control the body with the oldest roots in boxing and that's all they need to Mexican up the sport.
I really don't mind the extra belts to be honest, but, cultural? **** that **** man. There should be one culture to a world sanctioning body and that culture best to be boxing.
It's so weird to read people say he isnt Mexican because he was born in America.. that's like America's thing.. it's a melting pot of people from different ethnicities and races... Are we the only country where people keep their nationalities?
