Again fighters are often among the worst scorers I see for fights & VERY rarely do they even seem to have a score.

Again trainers seem better but they dont seem to comment as much. Feel free to list all the trainers who legit scored the fight with their scorecard if you wish cuz Id be curious to see them.

Who should we listen to? The media who have agendas or the fighters who do this for a living
Lol wut?!?!. You think the media is more pro GGG than pro Canelo? I think EVERYTHING about these fights in & out of it is favoring Canelo & Canelo's way.

Canelo came straight at Golovkin in the rematch.
So Arturo Gatti should be undefeated?

To me the jab of GGG was the most effective thing happening in the 2nd fight or either fight for that matter.

I think too many mfers were invested in "mexican style" in these 2 fights. Thats just a boxing media thing that GGG hijacked for branding purposes. Coming forward doesnt get extra points in this fight cuz Canelo outmexicaned the guy who hijacked mexican style. And thats why the consensus was GGG deserved to win both fights cuz most mfers dont give a f#ck about who won the mexican style come forward unofficial battle too many mfers bring up like its relevant beyond the normal scoring of a fight.

In fact it was Alvarez whose back touched the ropes in the late rounds.

Great fight. I’m probably not going to watch it again to fact check, but what I remember was Canelo stepping up, coming forward, backing GGG up, and being aggressive. The same tactics Golovkin used in the first fight, Canelo used in the second. Except Canelo had better defense. My opinion, Gennady won the first fight, Alvarez won the rematch. Both fights were close, but I remember thinking there was a clear winner in each one.

          ...earn his spot????

          GGG Won the 1st fight.

..... the 2nd fight was a legit draw.

I feel bad for GGG, the guy is upside down in the record books against Clenelo. He should still be undefeated smh...

For Canelo yea. At this point I see Kovalev as a similar fighter to GGG. Both guys have big power and really good jabs. While Kovalev is going to hit harder as the bigger guy he is also going to be slower. Kovalev doesn't take body shots well. He folds. GGG got beat up to the body by Canelo but he never stopped fighting in either fight and actually came on really strong at the end of the last one. Kovalev is a bully while GGG is a fighter.

Saunders and Plant are fresher and harder to hit.

Barely. Canelo had big moments in both fights but even in the fight he won, (I scored the rematch for him 7-5) its not like he dominated. Both were close and highly competitive. The second fight actually had a lot of the action we were hoping to see in the first fight.

I am a GGG fan but I am also a fan of the sport. Canelo punked out and you shouldn't be celebrating him for that.

So if a guy in a lower division want to fight for a title in a class above him the Champion is obligated to cut weight. Come on you know that's ridiculous. How come Canelo went for a title against a Middleweight Champion that said flat out if any Middleweight wants to fight him they will have to cut weight. The catchweight situation is absurd.
