Canelo won a middleweight belt and GGG was the mandatory. If Canelo didn't want to fight at 160 at that time then don't win a middleweight title. Why are you ok with a mofo trying to weight drain his opponent?
yeah canelo took a different fight first with Chavez jr at 164.5 and then came back to 60 to fight ggg
I love that you're both able to criticize GGG for not going down to fight Canelo at a catchweight and then casually acknowledge how Canelo fought someone else at 164 before fighting GGG at 160. Why are you ok with Canelo trying to weight drain GGG when his fight with Chavez Jr showed he really did not have a problem moving up to a higher weight class.

Considering he and Canelo grossed over 1 Mill PPV buys in each fight, I'd say he's earned the right for a 3rd fight.

Both fights also ended in controversy (1st one more) so that's usually a sign for a 3rd fight. Is Canelo still upset about the PED accusations? Awwww...too bad, deal with it. Now he's fighting Sergey Kovalev on the same night as one of the UFC biggest fights of the year in MSG.

          Plan worked out terrific

What he's doing is avoiding avoiding GGG and other top tier opponents in pursuit of fighting easier big money fights. Jermall Charlo and Demetrious Andrade followed him up from 154 but he still won't fight them at 160. He avoided guys like Callum Smith, David Benividez or Gilberto Rameriez to fight for a title at 168. He chose Rocky Felding. He avoided guys like Dimitri Bivol, Artur Bieterbiev or Oleksandr Gvozdyk for a title at 175. He chose Sergey Kovalev. Kovalev, at the time the fight was initially discussed, had lost 3 of his last 6 with 2 of those losses coming by KO.

I agree with Oscar no more freebies for ggg he has to atleast beat another top mw be it Andrade, charlo, bjs or Jacobs rematch if he beats one of those guys then a 3rd fight will definitely be next for him.

But him fighting the Rolls and Dervrchrnkos of the world isn’t gonna earn him ****ttt.

He fought ggg twice 1 draw 1 victory now he's doing his own thing ignoring ggg so yea, canelo is not letting ggg dictate his career regardless of what anyone thinks.

That sht ain’t fair to Andrade, Charlo, Murata. You guys want GGG to fest on BUMS while Canelo taxes himself against REAL mutha ***ers! With a tune up here and there.
The best guy Andrade has beaten is Vanes & hes a bum anytime anyone brings him up when talking about GGG.

Murata keeps losing fights does he realllllllly deserve a fight with the big dog?

And I dig Mell more than these other 2, but what has he done besides beat that one legged guy?

Idk that those guys fairly deserve a fight with the #1 guy....most of all Andrade. Id rather see GGG get a 3rd fight or Danny get a 2nd fight than these guys get their first if we are going by who deserves a title shot.

Because G's status is a media creation and illusion. He's been hyped up by the prominent media members and HBO hype machine for years. Those media members you guys love to prop up are mainly shills at the end of the day acting like fanboys online.

It had people online believing GGG was a bigger name than he actually was but it just didn't translate into him getting a huge fanbase like they hoped it would. Hence, why he flopped on PPV twice.

Cuz its relevant to who people thought win.

And spare me fighter scorecards. Some of the worst most silly serious scorecards Ive seen have been boxer scorecards.

Cant upvote or downvote trainers cuz they dont seem to submit them THAT often, but they do seem much more on point then not.
so scorecards from GGG fanboys like Chris mannix, dan rafael, etc matter?

idk how you guys don't realize these prominent media members have been GGG fanboys for years, basically ever since 2014/15. Its been non stop shilling and defending of that man.

I have never seen a fighter with such little resume get propped up by these media boys as much as i have with G.
