Lemieux usually loses on the scales, the day before the fight....

You can't discuss Canelo's resume here because he's far too popular for people to really really remove the emotion out of the conversation. I have argued before that while he has a few impressive names on his Resume the guy has over 50 fights and maybe 5 total fights that register as impressive. We saw the same thing with Danny Garcia when these fighters are in favor and popular their resumes are glorified as stellar when they fall out of favor the conversation changes rather quickly. Lemieux is a toss-up in terms of whom he beats because of his issues with weight and his refusal to hire a chef and nutritionist year-round. Depending on how depleted he is by the time he makes the scales is what decides his loss or win.

1st off I wanna say Canelo has a good resume. But you know what's crazy about this. People give credit to people JUST FOR FIGHTING "NAMES". I feel my post will go unnoticed/appear on blind eyes/or just flat out be underrated. I feel this post could probably be a thread or three in itself.

When you look at his resume in context with:

        Positive PED tests
        Controversial decisions
        Weight advantages
        Economic Value etc.

It's overrated. People like to pretend Canelo is in a league of his own. But I often think about what would the fighters (he hasn't faced, controversially beat, & lost to) do to the fighters that he's faced. Matter of fact even some of the people he's beat. I feel if you have a great boxing eye you shouldn't have to see certain match-ups to know the outcome. But people give Canelo a lot of credit for beating people that he was supposed to!

What would Andrade, Charlo, & Jacobs etc. do to: Cotto, Khan, Chavez Jr., Fielding, Mosley. The only person that Canelo fought that I think is better than everyone he faced or will face is Floyd. But even with him I have no doubt Andrade & maybe Jacobs (not sure about Charlo) would give Floyd a harder fight than Canelo did.

I could go way deeper with this post but I don't wanna feel like I'm wasting my time or keystrokes.

Just look at this: let's say Canelo beats Kovalev, there are people who are going to give him credit for it. But could Charlo, Lara, BJS, Andrade even get a fight with Kovalev if they wanted it⁉⁉🤔🤔🤔 Ya'll don't hear me tho smh

Well three guys they had in common were Stevens, Rubio and Rosado. Two wins and a loss. Against Rubio who he was dominating untill he ran out of gas. Stevens was massacred and Rosado was never in the fight. I'd say he did pretty well.
Lemieux has limitations but his power makes up for it. He's better than people on here like to make out.

Maybe 50-5 and add Erislandy Lara to the list.

Pretty telling about how weak Canelo’s competition has been up until his last three fights.

Ok this is fun to do. I'll do Canelo's opponents since he won a world title.
At the stage of their career when Canelo fought them:

                    Matthew Hatton- Lemieux wins UD
Ryan Rhodes- Lemieux wins by KO
Alfonso Gomez- Lemieux wins by KO
Kermit Cintron- Lemieux wins by KO
Shane Mosley- Lemieux wins by KO
Josesito Lopez- Lemieux wins by KO
*Austin Trout- Lemieux loses by UD
                    *Mayweather- Lemieux loses by UD
Alfredo Angulo- Lemieux wins by KO
*Erislandy Lara- Lemieux loses by UD
James Kirkland- Lemieux wins by KO
*Miguel Cotto- Lemieux loses by UD
Amir khan- Lemieux wins by KO
Liam Smith- Lemieux wins by SD
Chavez Jr- Lemieux wins by MD
                    *Golovkin- Lemieux loses by KO
                    Fielding- Lemieux wins by KO
                    *Jacobs- Lemieux loses by KO

So yeah I think he loses about 6 fights, maybe a pick'em with Chavez Jr. Depends what weight that fight is at. 164 I'd say Lemieux probably edges it

So yeah he would be 49-6 imo, maybe an upset loss in there.
                    Probably 49-6 or 48-7.

Loses to Cotto, Floyd, Lara, Jacobs, GGG, Trout

Lemieux would not win any of those fights below 160

he would be dead on the scales

and above 160.... Chavez is the only opponent he could beat

                      and I would favor Chavez

Fielding is too big, and Lemieux is too basic... so I can't see him winning that fight either
