    Canelo vs Gilberto Ramirez

I doubt I’m the first one that thought of this but assuming the Canelo Kov fight happens and hypothetically Canelo wins and assuming GGG not willing to challenge the winner at 175 the most obvious mega fight at that point is Canelo vs Ramirez. It’s sych an obvious path that maybe that’s even the plan. Maybe I’m way off but that would be one of the biggest fights between Mexican fighters ever. It would be huge in the Mexican community and would be huge between boxing fans in general. It’s actually a interesting stylistic matchup as well.

A lot of hypotheticals but what do you guys think would the fight make sense, and also how do you think the fight would go?

Ramirez might be a little too young, too big, too sturdy for a fight that risky considering Ramírez isnt that much of a name. He’s got a following but no title or anything to make anyone really take notice.

Maybe if Ramirez solidifies himself at 175, gets a few big wins, maybe a belt or two (lets be honest...175 is full of killers and he isn't beating any champ right now. Maybe if he fought more and showed us something we’d have more to go on but yeah..)

Maybe you missed when Canelo said he wasn’t going to fight Mexicans anymore. Happened right after he “moved” up to 168. Was ironic since he had no problem fighting Mexicans until he was in a division where the two top guys are Mexican (Benividez & Zurdo)

But I guess there’s a big difference in fighting those guys, and building a record by fighting Mexican cab drivers with losing records.

Honestly Zurdo has no following in Mexico.

They asked Zurdo about that and keep in mind that they have sparred each other in the past but Zurdo said Canelo is way too short for 175

Ramirez is overrated. He'd get blasted out inside of six rounds.
