I see Kovalev teeing off on a gassed Canelo in the second half, stopping him.

I don't think people realise how much smaller Canelo is than Kovalev. Canelo may have a good chin at 160 but he's never been hit by a big 175lber with very heavy hands. Not to mention Kovalev is an excellent boxer with those long, straight, accurate combinations. If he outboxed Ward, he can most definitely outbox Canelo.

The only question is the weight. If there is a catchweight and/or rehydration clause, it might as well be Manny vs. Oscar at this point in Kovalev's career. But if it's a legitimate fight at 175lbs with no added BS, Canelo is in trouble here and those 1/8 odds are ridiculous.

                - -Canelo long time sparmate with GGG who has prob sparred Kov and certainly hits as hard.

Odds are set to capture the know it all suckers, ie most boxing fans.

Canelo has sparred Golovkin in the past but they are not "long time sparmates" by any means. And yes, Golovkin has also sparred Kovalev, but I'm not sure how that is relevant nor do I believe that as hard of a puncher as Golovkin is, that he hits as hard as a heavy-handed natural 175lber like Kovalev.

Golovkin's jab worked beautifully against Canelo. Do you suggest that a considerably bigger man with an equally potent jab won't be able to land on Canelo?

Triple G was frightened of Froch and Ward much less Kovalev, people are getting ridiculous.

Also Canelo is -400, Kovalev +300 which is still great odds but nowhere was he a 8-1 dog.

Even Felix Sturn kicked the **** out of Hoya at 15-1 odds. He didn’t win but any real fight fan saw him win unanimously.

The more I cap the fight, the more I favor Kovalev.
