Listen to the interviews where these quotes are collected, I did that hence why I know the title is misleading because the context was different. The title makes it seem like he's looking to fight a Otto Wallin type opponent next. It's not possible and everyone knows this because everyone knows the IBF mandatory is definitely next for the Ruiz-AJ 2 winner.
Now if you or AJ or anyone else consider Pulev an easy fight then that's a different matter and another debate.

It’s the last paragraph that I think is such a joke
I don’t expect Fighters to run the gauntlet as far as fighting their biggest Challenges Back to Back to Back , But they need to step up every 2 years or so and take on their biggest available challenge
Since Klit ( which is a over rated W in my opinion ) 3 years ago it’ll have been Takam / Parker / Povetkin & Ruiz 2x and if he wins it appears to be a no hoper in the first 1/2 of 2020. That’s the furthest thing from a murderers Row of Opponets, In fact it’s rather sub par if we're being honest for a Fighter that held 3 of the straps
Meanwhile in that span if all the dominoes fall where there expected
Fury will have Probably fought a Collection Of No Hopers and the biggest available challenge who actually wants to fight him in Wilder 2x
Wilder will probably have fought Ortiz 2x , Fury 2x
Can anyone say with a straight face anymore that it’s not AJ & his team arent the reason He’s yet to face his biggest threats
Because the other Top 2 guys seem more then willing to take on Challenges

Put this beside the "you train and fight Wilder" comment and you see what AJ is made of. He seems to be a guy who happens to box and make good money at it rather than a pure fighter. He doesn't have an edge that will make enable him to overcome challenges. It's more than just getting up from a knock down. Its showing grit and focus when the chips are down.
