Comments Thread For: Joshua Wants An 'Easy Fight' Next If He Wins Ruiz Rematch

NEW YORK If Anthony Joshua defeats Andy Ruiz Jr. in their rematch, the former heavyweight champion won't have any contractual obligation to grant Ruiz a rubber match. If Joshua were to win their rematch December 7 in a competitive, entertaining fight, it would warrant a third bout. That doesn't necessarily mean Joshua would give Ruiz a chance to avenge his loss following their immediate rematch in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia.

If its OK for fury and it's OK for wilder it should be OK for Joshua, aj got smaller resume than both of them yet it's far superior.

Or the other 2 could step up their game.

‘Why am I fighting all these solid contenders? I’m going to fight an easy fight after that.’ ”

Wow! Spoken like a true champ.

A first loss can reveal a lot about a fighter and I guess we're learning much about AJ after losing to Ruiz.

Oh look, yet another headline saying the exact opposite of what is presented in the article.

It makes sense. Everyone wants to see the winner of Joshua-Ruiz 2 fight the winner of Wilder-Fury 2.

But I can see the winner of each of those rematches taking an easy summer fight, then having the Undisputed fight at the end of 2020.

Better be careful. Ruiz was supposed to be an easy fight, remember?

I think a ****** has a better shot at getting an erection at a strip club than Joshua winning the rematch against Ruiz.

Come on boxingscene, this is the complete opposite of what he meant in the article, but here comes that particular fanbase anyway.
