    No one believes this statement

But Let’s be Honest, AJ has to have that mentality going in to this fight, To him Ruiz has to be viewed as the best HW right now

He can’t say/ think he got beat down by a late replacement who wasn’t even considered a top 10 fighter and take him lightly.

I get that statement, The statements by AJ that has me scratching my head is where he says he still needs to make a few changes in his lifestyle and everything will align, Like why hasn’t he began to make those changes yet and a couple weeks ago when he talked about needing to get the passion back for Boxing

Like If he doesn’t yet have and still needs to find his passion and Hunger /Drive to get back what was his and right this wrong , after getting Molly whopoed in his American Debut , getting his straps took by a little fat guy who was a late replacement. I don’t think it’s coming back

I realize a sizeable % Of World Champs don’t have passion for the Sport but just do it for the paycheque , But Just out of pride and ego , Id assume he’d be chomping at the bit to get back what’s his

He has a legit one punch eraser.
      I agree, Whyte is clearly N. 5. Povetkin is probably N. 6.

he makes himself believe this sort of stuff

the ego and stubbornness is at an insane level

parker moved around the ring and had a close fight vs ruiz. imagine what fury would do vs ruiz

        1. fury/wilder

        2. ruiz

Fight was close only because of Parker's chin though. It was the first time I'd ever seen Parker fighting on the back foot, and he was backing up for 12 full rounds. Andy was hitting him with fast counter combos just like he did Joshua.

my point was fury is better than ruiz

probably not your intention but you are implying fury does not have as good a chin as parker....which is obviously false

My bad, I thought we were comparing the Joshua rematch to the Parker fight.

I've compared Fury to JMM on here in the past as far as his chin goes. People think he's got a bad chin, I think it's exceptional. He gets dropped, but always gets right back up with excellent recovery.

Never go full ****** bro lol...this guys used to be somewhat normal before he took the beating now he's all over the place. Fury would toy with ruiz and make it look easier than when he toyed with Windmill Beyonce...Joshua is lying to himself and I can not blame him, he has to make it look like the guy who smashed him is somewhat good

On this thread, where he pays his opponent a compliment during a freaking PRESS TOUR, you know where he is asked questions and he answers them, everyone is insulting his inability to handle things well and he just needs to shut up and train.

I need to find where Joshua did something horrible to everyone on this site. None of this is even a thing if Joshua just does what most champions do when their opponent pulls out which is find a scrub to fight. Joshua had Miller (who plain flat did not deserve a fight for the belts anyways, and I am glad the fraud missed the paydays) fail out due to massive doping, and he first offered to a universally accepted top 5 HW in Ortiz. When Ortiz declined to focus on a Wilder rematch, he again could have picked a HW like a Washington or a scrub in the New Jersey area, but he went to a single loss proven HW in Ruiz. While everyone was picking Joshua, no one was saying Ruiz was a scrub. Every expert spoke of his fast hands and ability to work inside. When Ruiz won, Joshua stood in the middle of the ring, arm around the new champ, giving him all the credit in the world, a lesson a fighter like Gennady Golovkin could learn a ton from. Joshua has never said anything bad about Ruiz, only that he himself needs to improve.

What in the bloody cheeseballs is everyone's problem here? Even if you believe Joshua was overrated, the man is a class act in and out of the ring. This is an enticing rematch that all the pressure is still on Joshua. Joshua could easily rebuild himself with a "prove it" style win, like nearly every other champ has in the past when getting upset. If he loses, we have another class act in Ruiz who will have earned once and for all the respect of being the legit champ. And how much do you want to bet Joshua will handle the loss like a man again? You all are strange fans around here. As much as I love me some Ruiz, I find myself almost cheering for Joshua just as a knee jerk reaction to all this resentment.
Did you not listen to what he actually said? He was rambling like a moron, sounds brain damaged.
It's like he's a different person than before the Ruiz fight.
Sure, credit to him for saying he needs to make changes, that much is obvious. He gave Ruiz credit on the night and wouldn't make excuses, but most of what he's actually said since the loss is bull****. He's said everything from 'lucky punch' to 'I need to make lifestyle changes'.
Honestly sounds like he's lost the plot. We'll have to see how he is after the rematch

Precisely, a good chin means a good recovery.

You may lose the round, but if you can recover and regroup its not a real weakness in a fighter.

Guys like Khan and Joshua get tagged clean and cant shake off the buzz.

Its physiological IMO, i suffered the same problem to be honest.
