Comments Thread For: Eubank Jr: Saunders Won't Face Me Unless He Gets Crazy Money

The ongoing feud between super middleweights Chris Eubank Jr. and Billy Joe Saunders has continued to play out. The two boxers have been trading words since their in-ring showdown took place back in 2014, which saw Saunders win a close twelve round split decision in London.

Saunders is a stick and move type of fighter. And Eubank is flat-footed and slow. I see no way for Eubank to beat Saunders.

Thing is, there's no real need for BJS to fight Eubank Jr again unless he gets a huge financial incentive for it. He's already beaten him once and has improved massively since, while Jr has stood still in terms of technical progression. Also, BJS has a recognized world champ belt, while Jr's IBO belt is still regarded as as a plastic title by most.

I would like to see it again.. Just to see if Eubanks is going to wait six rounds before he starts beating the brakes off of saunders again. Saunders doesn't want to lose that belt... and because of that fear.. He will never fight chris again.. Chris is a monster.. George barely survived and was basically injured and done after fighting him..

Not like Eubanks has learned to b9x in the interim.

BJS would win again and this time it would be a wider decision. I don't like him but he is much better than Eubank Jr. His only shot is getting lucky by landing one on the chin of the many wild winging haymakers he will throw.

Absolute bollocks. Groves had one arm at the end of the fight because he threw it out from jabbing Eubank all night.
Then, when Eubank was fighting a one armed fighter, he still couldn't hurt Groves!
Not only that, Groves actually stunned Eubank with an uppercut with his one good arm!
                Wow what a monster...

I can see it being the same fight as before except Eubank can walk through BJS punches more than he could vs groves so to me he has a punchers chance. I also think there’s a chance BJ might have messed up his own physical and mental conditioning through *******, bum fights and inactivity. He looks fat and slow at 168 and has no power.

This still doesn’t mean Eubank has become a good boxer

Eubank is not great at 168 either though, the Groves fight proved this.
