I love how dumb people are on here that think this fight wouldn't be legitimate if there was at catchweight. They take no consideration that Canelo would have to put on a sht ton of weight at his disadvantage. It's fking pathetic that they think Canelo has to take the maximum disadvantage in all his fights in order to give him credit. Same sht for GGG, Canelo gave GGG everything he asked for in the second fight and GGG still got his ass whooped.

If this fight is at Catchweight, that is Kovalev's choice and it will only make the fight more even.

He is fighting for the LH championship of the world. Not the catchweight championship of the world. If he wants the title and the glory that goes with it then fight under the rules. Ironically when Canelo didn't want to fight Golovkin he cited the WBC imposing an artificial deadline on him so he gave up his title. Then he turns out to be one of the worst at imposing artificial weight restrictions on his opponents.

It was supposed to be on this Friday (the 6th), but looks like the report was wrong. But since then a lot of hype about the official announcement being made this week. I’ve updated the thread with recent articles and updates. And I will keep updating this thread as more news arrive.
