However, throughout history, Americans are the ones who refuse to travel and cry about it all the time. But the times they did, they are beaten nearly every time out. They have a few worthy wins in history, but nothing to write home about. When compared to British wins overseas, it's a different ball game. We have the best record in history for doing so. No nation can come close to matching it.

Deluded bollocks. The list of Brit fighters that have won big fights in the US isn’t a long one in the context of an overall percentage of guys that have fought there.
In the last 40 years - Lewis, Calzaghe, Frampton, Honeyghan, Brook, Benn, Froch, Hamed with a couple of good wins and Hatton, Degale and Khan with a couple each, though not against the best at their weight.

Joshua fought Cornish, a domestic level bum, for his 14th fight.
His 15th was Whyte, who at the time was also domestic, but that was the first fight he actually fought someone who hit him back.
If you think Joshua was fighting better opposition (he wasn’t), that should favour Joshua.
Lewis at 15 fights would destroy the Joshua who fought Whyte. He’d also beat any version of Joshua after that.
Lewis fought Mason in his 15th fight and looked excellent. After that he was fighting fringe contenders until he destroyed Ruddock.
He was superior to the current version of Joshua at 15 fights. He’s just in a different league of skill and ring IQ.

Again, this is pointless because it isn't factual.
There is no way of unanimously scoring fighters on individual attributes to a standardised system, especially as there are anomalies like McCall and Ruiz that come along.
So, the only REALITY that we know is that if Lennox Lewis fought Anthony Joshua right now, Joshua would win. There is no other reality. There are no facts to say otherwise.

I completely respect your opinion that a prime Lewis would beat Joshua - but (in a fantasy world) you cannot deny that Joshua has more than a chance of winning.
