    90s Era vs Now

Why do people love acting like this generation can't come close to 90s or that 90s was so far better and everyone fought everyone. Fighters these days don't be given a fair chance AJ Wilder Fury could all compete in that era. With social media these days the fighters have more pressure as they the whole world can instantly discuss and diss fighters online. Same for other atheltes in different sports. And drug testing was non existent or not like it was. If Holyfield was fighting now pretty sure people would be making PED accusations online

Lewis was mandatory to Tyson in the 90s and had to take him to court, Tyson then paid him 6 MILLION step aside money won his next fight and dropped the belt. So neither fought when they should have and fought way too late.

Imagine that happened now if AJ or Wilder did the same how much they would be dissed.

    Also neither fought Bowe.

A lot of people act like Prime Tyson would KO Wilder AJ Fury in a round yet that prime tyson went 12 rounds with a few journeyman. He was then KOd by Buster. Pre Buster his best win was probably Spinks but who did he really win as an elite win, every fighter Tyson won before Buster i could see Fury Wilder AJ beating.

Not saying AJ Wilder Fury are guaranteed to beat Tyson Lewis Holyfield, just think the whole 90s and that this era can't compete is rubbish. Don't know who would win but they would all be able to compete.

The fact that everyone still thinks about the 90's and that there's a thread about it every week tells me the 90's were better. If they weren't, people wouldn't still be talking about it, making comparisons. The names of those dudes wouldn't be more well known than today's stars.

Before people say Bowe ducked and dropped belt. My point isn't who ducked who it's that the fight didn't happen with Lewis and Tyson regardless of reason. Lewis is a legend but he was KOd by Mcacll and Rahman and one of them he didn't even have a immediate rematch. If any fighter now got KOd like that like AJ did look how much they are dissed

No people talk about it because of nostalgia. Just like other sports there's people who are like no one compares to Jordan. No one compares to Pele. Etc. No one can say past were better cause we'll never know, but those who always act like athletes these days are mediocre compared to the past are ****** af

To be fair there was more to 90s boxing than just the heavyweights.

A post-prison Mike Tyson was no longer in his prime, physically or mentally. Tyson from ‘86-89 would have been too much for Lewis. Remember Tyson destroyed Biggs, who beat Lewis in the amateurs.

86-89 tyson went to points against a few journeymen. This doesn't also change the fact that people love to not mention that he paid 6 million step aside.

Not a fighter in that era could hang with Tyson too fast Fury for more than 10 good rounds.

90s fighters are better and all fought each other, because that’s what boxers did until the Floyd Mayweather era.

Today’s boxers are all scared to fight each other, clutch to a title like an old lady clutching a purse and wait on super fights until they’re ready to retire.
