  • Comments Thread For: Andy Ruiz: I Don't Want 15 Minutes Of Fame; Want It To Last!

Andy Ruiz Jr. has thoroughly enjoyed himself since pulling off one of the biggest upsets in heavyweight history. The newly crowned IBF/IBO/WBA/WBO champion hasn't been shy about showing off his new purchases throughout this three-month victory tour. A new house. A Rolls Royce. Expensive ***elry.

    Don't underestimate Andy Ruiz again!

Andy 'Destroyer' Ruiz in reality beat Joseph Parker and added Joshua to his resume, so the real score reads: 2016 WBO champion and 2019 unified Champion.

Andy Ruiz is no Buster Douglas, Ruiz is as legit as one can be.

Ruiz is for real, no matter the result in the rematch he is a player in this division.

Ruiz seems like he is taking the rematch seriously. I'm also curious to see how AJ responds to losing the way he did. I wonder if he'll come back stronger or if the loss damaged him mentally. Can't wait to see how this plays out.

Even if he loses, I see him in good fights, like Kownacki, Parker rematch, Wilder, ortiz, Breazeale and so on.

The best thing Andy did was get more $$ out of the rematch.

If Andy loses I suspect he'll end up being avoided. Wilder is very, very risk averse and the next level down don't really need or want the risk for the little $$$ Andy can bring without belts. Andy may get a cross fight with Fury or a new guy comming up but other than that, nobody will want to actually fight Andy. The pieces don't come together in today's risk averse climate.
