I agree and i am an american/mexican. I think andy is doing this for the attention and history this brings as being the first MEXICAN to win a title, even though he is in FACT an american citizen of Mexican decent. hes doing it for the money mexican fans are the largest fan bases in boxing, thats why even floyd mayweather would give big props to mexican fans, and fight on mexican holidays, and even wear mexican colors, floyd mayweather is not dumb!!

Mexican-Americans and Mexicans are fan bases that overlap. You can´t say who is Mexican and who isn´t. For example your dad and your brother may be Mexicans born in Mexico but you were born in the US, that makes you a US citizen but not less Mexican than your family. This Mexican thing is getting out of context by non-Mexicans. Matter of fact, in the US a Mexican even if born in the US is called Mexican in an ethnic way, even Mexican-Americans call themselves Mexican, hey even the Mexican Mafia gang is not called the American, Anglo gang and they don´t even know Spanish...
