Does The WBA “Regular” Title Actually Mean Anything?

I’ve been noticing a lot of Canelo fans calling him a three division champion because he won the WBA “Regular” Title from Rocky Fielding. Even his Wikipedia says he’s a three division champion.

If the regular title is legitimate, then we have a lot more world champions:

    Manuel Charr (Heavyweight)
    Beibut Shumenov (Cruiserweight)
    Ryōta Murata (Middleweight)
    Erislandy Lara (Super Welterweight)
    Xu Han (Featherweight)

It doesn’t mean anything. It’s basically the same exact thing as the WBA Gold title.

I've seen him called a 3-division. Yeah, I don't think so. Haha. The WBA is the worst. I definitely don't think it should be considered a real title.

Well, if the WBA Regular means nothing, not saying it does, but without it, GGG doesn't match Hopkin's 20 defenses.

If there was a super champion at the time, then I completely understand the logic.

The super champ is the wba champ who unifies, so he’s the real wba champion.

                  that all depends...

did the " WBA “Regular” Title " mean anything when Golovkin defended it 11x while equaling Hopkins middleweight record?

It means something when Alberto Machado, Gennady Golovkin, and Manny Pacquiao hold it because people like them.

It means nothing when Canelo holds it and Gervonta Davis is about to fight for it, because people don't like them. By people I mean you included, who made this thread for this exact reason.
