Don't get so worked up about having interim or gold or silver titles. Real boxing fan really recognize the true belts only anyway. We should remember that boxing and every sport are actually just entertainment. Let them have these funny belts. They make for fun talks with casual fans.

How can it be for the interim title if the champ is not injured?? The purpose of an interim champion is when the champ is injured and can't follow his defense obligations. Then eventually the interim champ fights the actual champ. Loma is not injured, that we know of. WBC has definitely become the worst of the 4 alphabet organizations.

Is that Interim champ or champ in recess? I can’t keep them all straight.

Fortunately for him, Haney is 20 (soon to be 21 in 2 months). Waiting a year or two won't be the worse thing in the world. The longer the wait, the more time he has to improve and polish his skills. Meanwhile, Jermall is 29 so he needs to get a move on.

I would rather Haney go into the Loma fight a little more seasoned than a Zaur fight. He has the talent but hasn't honed his craft against a higher level of competition. Put him in with some common opponents especially Campbell.
