The WBC Board of Governors has voted unanimously to officially sanction the fight between Devin Haney and Zaur Abdullaev for the WBC interim lightweight championship. How can it be for the interim title if the champ is not injured?? The purpose of an interim champion is when the champ is injured and can't follow his defense obligations. Then eventually the interim champ fights the actual champ. Loma is not injured, that we know of. WBC has definitely become the worst of the 4 alphabet organizations.
