    Roy Jones Jr. Workout Quotes

I am boxing because I love what I do. There is no other reason. I’ve got nothing to prove – nothing to prove to anybody. They know who I am and where I have been. It has to do with where I came from. You can ask all of the other fighters in this industry…Who was number one in the middleweight, super middleweight, light heavyweight and the heavyweight division? Who made more money in all of those divisions except for Mike Tyson – who was only big in the heavyweight division. Outside of that, there is only Roy Jones Jr, and you know this. I bring fashion to the sport like no one else.

eh...doesn't sound like a guy going in there to destroy someone. I predict a lot of showboating and a borring 12 decision.

Here's to hoping Roy KOs this dude.

I'm not sure what to make of this. Roy needs to handle his business and win clearly. With the wayhe's talking it could good, could be bad. At this point I'd have to agree it seems like he is going for accuracy, not power or any kind of stoppage.

      We'll see.

he said he's going to have fun in the ring..so that means it probably will be boring..i wouldnt doubt it if he got knocked out..and i wouldnt doubt it if he got a decision..i just hoped if prince badi beats him..he's not thrusted into elite fighter status..roy jones is obvisouly not the same fighter he was before moving to heavyweight

I just hope he gets win #50 and hangs em up.

No need to be fighting anymore.

            Just a few points..

Every magazine had Gerald McClellan as the #1 MW in 93/94, with Jones #2.

Chris Eubank and Nigel Benn made much more money at SMW than Jones.

Other than that, he's correct - he was the best SMW, LHW and HW in the world.

I hope Roy is smart enough to know this guys will be looking to knock his head off.He better come prepared to throw more than 15 punches a round or he will be in trouble again.

Jones physically can beat anybody in the world from MW to SHW, unless Calzaghe fight like he did with Lacy (and only other time with Cruiserweight Edwards).

He showed in round five against Tarver that he still has the speed, reflexes and timing, and the last thing to lose a fighter is his punch (which he proved bigtime in his prime, 154-168). If he wants to, he can KO anybody from MW to LHW, unless Calzaghe sets out to win on points (which he has never ever done other than with Edwards and Lacy).
