  • Comments Thread For: Hearn To Wilder: Go Fight Fury, Joshua Not Falling For The Trap

Eddie Hearn, promoter for Anthony Joshua, says his boxer will not fall into a trap by listening to the words of WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. In a recent interview, Wilder said that he was willing to bypass the February rematch with Tyson Fury - and instead take on the winner of the December 7th rematch between Joshua and IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO world champion Andy Ruiz.

Which was the point, they know Wilder won't fight AJ. Even if Ruiz wins he won't be fighting until April or May so Wilder just wants to avoid Fury a rematch he wanted when only the loser persues.

I was rooting for AJ but Hearn is making it real easy to root for Andy.

How long is he planning on ducking Wilder?

When wilder talks about unification he’s talking about Ruiz

Wilder is hoping fury will step aside so two pbc fighters can fight for the pbc belt

Hearn has a point. Wilders a nob head. Anyway we all know wilder wants to face the winner of Joshua Ruiz 2 as long as its Ruiz. Wilders had plenty of opportunities to face Joshua and has turned down every single one of them. Worst thing is he kept crying lowball yet the 1st and worst offer from Hearn and AJ is STILL for more money than Wilder has ever earnt from a fight.

Lowballs and career high pay never belonged in the same sentence until wilder came about.

Lol, the interview sounds like Hearn has no faith left in his guy. He comes across so squirrely. Not only did AJ lose stock and confidence, you can see that Hearn lost his too.
