I like Froch. Thing is when you KNOW your opponent CANT take a body shot. You go for broke. Yes, your going to land some low blows. Should you be CONCERNED? Fook NO. ITS A FIGHT! Not football, tennis Or golf. Lets move on. This is a fight game. U DONT PROTECT YOURSELF. Thats your fookin problem.Comment

So Weeks stopped it because of the one punch that if you zoom in while looking at it in slow motion could have been called low but is hard to discern because Kovalev is bent over trying to avoid legal body blows?Comment

But in all fairness Froch only said half the truth.
Why didn't he say:
Ward lost the first fight and due to th political s h I t going on with Russia, the judges decided to give Ward a gift.
then proceeded to what everyone with 2 balls know happened in the 2nd fight, Ward hit them cause he couldn't lick 'emComment

Froch is a salty dude but I think he's actually calling it down the middle on this one.
He gives Ward props for beating him "fair and square", retiring unbeaten and going in with Kovalev twice.
Of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I can't say "entertaining" springs to mind when I think of Ward. I also think it's fair to say that he often worked on the edge of the rules and he quite clearly (and unnecessarily) hit Kovalev low, several times.Comment

I think Ward lost the first fight to Kovalev, and was on his way to winning the rematch, albeit there were clear low blows. Ward was technically excellent, quite an exponent of the sweet science. But yes, even Mayweather was more exciting than Ward.Comment
