Andre Ward wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Canelo Alvarez were to stop Sergey Kovalev. Size advantage and all, Ward can visualize Kovalev having a very tough time fending off Alvarez if the Mexican middleweight works his way inside the taller, rangier Kovalev's jab and attacks Kovalev's body. Negotiations are ongoing for Kovalev to defend his WBO light heavyweight title versus Alvarez on November 2 in Las Vegas, but Kovalev is considered the clear front-runner to land that assignment.

This it would be a good test of Canelos granite chin. I disagree tho, Canelo might be able to out box Kovalev from the outside.
Been looking real slick lately. If he can neutralize the jab and stay active it's his fight to win. Maybe ko with a body shot mid to late rounds

Canelo is depending on getting to Kovalev’s crumple zone. He will get there eventually. We will see what’s greater Canelo’s power or Kovalev’s post prime will.

First those punches were on the belt line, which is legal. And the ref told both of them that belt-line punches were legal.
