Comments Thread For: Prograis Assured Neutral Judges For Taylor Fight In London

Regis Prograis didn't agree to fight Josh Taylor in London without making some demands. BoxingScene.com has confirmed that Prograis wouldn't consent to boxing Scotland's Taylor in the United Kingdom unless he was assured in his contract that three neutral judges would be assigned to their 12-round, 140-pound title fight. New Orleans' Prograis (24-0, 20 KOs) and Taylor (15-0, 12 KOs) will fight for Prograis' WBA super lightweight title and Taylor's IBF junior welterweight championship in the final of the World Boxing Super Series' 140-pound tournament October 26 at O2 Arena in London.

Lomachenko got a decision here, Povetkin got a decision here, am all for neutral judges but every country have their own shady scorecards. This myth like you get robbed in the UK is funny.

Yeah, everyone knows it's in Vegas at the T-Mobile arena where you get robbed. Like when you fight Andre Ward or Canelo...

Even in Russia 2 weeks ago the cards and ref were all very fair. For title fights how often do you see 3 judges from the same country even?

I just think every country has this sort of bad decisions sometimes. To just label the UK as the only one is a bit silly. Robberies can happen anywhere.

It's the ref he should be concerned about. That's the main issue in the UK. Oh, and the UKAD letting people fight dirty.

              Terrible News.

Team Prograis dropped the ball here : The 'Tart-Tomato' Josh Taylor has been permitted to repeatedly foul his opponents by crooked UK referee's.

Foreign judges in the UK for a world-title unification is a given, so what exactly did team Regis Pro actually accomplish in these negotiations? Please! Don't let the ref be Ian John Lewis or Victor Loughlin!

Someone DM Regi and tell him hes being set-up! He must know!

If the appointed home-town official is bias he may aid Josh Taylor by interfering when Regis Prograis starts to smash the 'Tart-Tomato'.

What happens if the local ref takes a point away? Deliberately calls a slip a knockdown? Or worse wave the fight off after Josh Taylor fouls his opponent, instead of giving Taylor a warning? There are all sorts of ways to rob Regi with a corrupt UK official.

Normally I'd be Prograis all day every day but funny things can happen first time traveling.
