Anyway, no one is giving this idiot a shot a three without earning it. The WBO belt is getting dumped in the bin by either Ruiz or Josh. They would be dumb to give him a shot.
He held 4 belts at Cruiserweight so I don't have a problem with it. It's not like he only held 1 belt there. The champ from the division below can become the Mando. That is just in the rules of some of the sanctioning bodies.. And Usyk happens to have had all of the belts

Comments Thread For: Oleksandr Usyk Very Motivated For Tyrone Spong on October 12

Oleksandr Usyk will face Tyrone Spong on his Heavyweight debut at the Wintrust Arena in Chicago on October 12, live on DAZN in the US and on Sky Sports in the UK. Usyk (16-0 12 KOs) joins the big guns having dominated the Cruiserweight division, leaving the 200lbs scene as the undisputed champion after knocking out Tony Bellew in Manchester in November, his first fight in a multi-fight deal with Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing USA.

Alright! The fights in Chicago. Wait.....who is he fighting? Guess I'll skip it. Seriously. I'm not going to pay to see a walkover, nor will I waste my time.

I have no problem with this. Usyk needs to get acclimated to the division. Parker-Chisora winner should be next.

Sort of expecting Bivol vs Mikhalkin and Gassiev vs Dawejko on here, too.

He can have a gimme fight one time as long as his next fight is a good one.

He beat Huck in Germany, Briedis in Latvia, Gassiev in Russia, Hunter in the US, Bellew in the UK...calling him entitled is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. He entered a tournament and became undisputed by beating all the champs in their own countries. That is phenomenal. He earned everything he has got. Why the hell would you hate on this man?
He is everything us boxing fans should want
I'm not surprised that the dumbest thing you have heard on here is a ****Em post. The guy posts the dumbest things I've ever read.

He is hands down the WBC Franchise Champ of ****** posts.

Takem would have been a solid test

Spong not so much ... still think usky is gonna do damage at heavy he’s a quality fighter for sure

He looks kind of fat in recent photos hopefully it’s because of the injury and not partying

That isn't my point. He's from a lower weight class and he's moving up. And personally, I don't think he's entitled to facing the winner between Josh and Ruiz since he hasn't done anything in the heavyweight division and he would automatically be fighting for 3 out of the 4 belts in the division. He has to earn the spot.

If he were to just be in a position to fight for just one belt - then I most likely won't have a problem with it. Just show me something first. Fight a live body and a real boxer and prove you can hang.

It's also the same reason why I had a problem with Wilder giving Fury a shot at the WBC belt when he returned. Fury should've been made to fight one or two live bodies. And if they had made him do that - he won't be on the bum beating tour he's on right now, with moral victory and phantom lineal title. Wilder wanted dumb leverage in his negotiation with Josh and it backfired, hence we have the nuisance that's Fury right now who hasn't done anything to earn the cache he's running around with.
