Seems to me Loma was rolling right along before the Linares fight. He was fight the best possible opponent. The weight class seems to be too much for him. He got dropped he lost rounds. His selections following that win are solid fighters but not the top guys he can fight. I think its sound strategy by his people as he acclimates to the weight class. I do however feel that if he stays at 135 he will lose again before getting to his 20th victory. Thoughts?
Does Loma make to 20 wins before another loss?

It's hard to say. He is already almost 32 and past prime but apparently he can still beat any lightweight even though 130 is his best weight. If he fights two fights a year he would be very old by the time he gets to 20 wins and somebody really good might beat him. If he gets all the titles at 135 he should vacate 135 and unify 130 if can and then retire. I think he could do that. -
At 2 fights a year & a few months from being 32 it seems possible. I think he will have to prove himself vs one or two of these young guns doe to get there & I think a Tank or Devin might be able to knock him off if the fight is timed right & they both keep getting better & Loma keeps looking more & more beatable like he has since moving to 135.Comment

I agree I think he can but he needs to move down to 130 as 135 just seems too big for him. He will have made a good account of himself in unifying but if he wants a longer career he needs to move down. Plus the fights that could be made with Berchelt and Valdez won't hurt his legacy. It's hard to say. That’s what I think. He’ll become undisputed and at 135 there are some developing young fighters. He’ll take a few on and retire. Maybe if 140 has one guy with all belts (Ramirez or Taylor perhaps) he’d roll the dice for one fight there.Comment

Who else could he have fought that you would consider top competition at 135 that is better than Linares, Pedraza, or Campbell?Seems to me Loma was rolling right along before the Linares fight. Depends. He has to stay away from 140, stay away from Pac, and for God's sake...stay away from Broner. I don't know how or why a fight between Loma and Broner would come to be, but it is one Loma would lose and the prophecy of Broner being FOTD might have some legitimacyComment

I really do believe he would lose if he fights above the age of 35, especially if he fights those younger guys like Teo Lopez, Davis or Haney above that age. Because he is slowing down, his footwork is still amazing but he can be bullied. Those younger guys would be what? 24-27 in the next three years. And they would have got more experience whilst Loma would be older and have some wear and tear on his body.Comment
