Vasiliy Lomachenko wouldn't go as far to state that he expects the most difficult fight of his career from Luke Campbell. The three-division champion knows, though, that their 12-round lightweight championship match Saturday night will be far more difficult than his previous fight. Lomachenko is heavily favored to defeat Campbell, too, but another Brit, Anthony Crolla, didn't offer any real resistance when Lomachenko knocked out his mandatory challenger in the fourth round April 12 at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Idk y everyone is making it out like Campbell is a bad fight. Breadman has been saying for awhile now how he thinks Campbell vs Loma would b a great fight. Dude is a talented trainer and VERY knowledgeable boxing writer/historian who's opinion I normally tend to agree with. I personally don't c exactly what he sees but I admit that he's way more knowledgeable than me and if he thinks it's a good fight, I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and assume it will be too. It just sucks that Loma isn't gonna get any credit for it if he wins. If it's a close fight everyone is gonna say he struggled against a bum, and if he smokes him everyone is gonna say that Campbell sucks and Loma should've fought someone tougher.

Not everyone, just those who know eff all about boxing.

Campbell held his own against Linares, and Linares/Loma was a cracking fight. Look at Crolla in the weigh-in vs Loma and you could see he was overtrained and unable to compete - Campbell looks far better prepared, and should make Loma work for it at least.

Lomachenko has enough humility to realize this isn't a guy to take lightly. Campbell is coming to win and I expect him to have his moments and I think Loma knows that. This is a fight with a good, smart boxer.

I've noticed posts that talk about Campbell's loss but I'm not sure it means anything in this fight. Lomachenko isn't Linares. Frankly, Until the stoppage, I think Linares was doing better with Lomachenko then he was against Campbell. STYLES make fights and on top of that Campbell is big and he has a long reach advantage.

Funny thing is when fighters say that “ it’s gonna be tough” they usually know it’s gonna be easy and are just trying to sell the fight.

When did Linares "spank' Campbell? He won by split decision in a close fight but I've seen u say canelo spanked Lara too so it's hard to take anything u say seriously.

Linares didn't spank Campbell. He barely squeaked out a split decision win. It was a legitimately even fight.

When you start your post with an attempt to misrepresent history, I have to question your motivation.

Because I don't think Loma will blow Campbell away. I think it will be a tough fight.

I think Loma haters will then say 'He struggled with Campbell, who was spanked by Linares so Loma must be overrated!!!'

If he does blow Campbell out, I will attribute it to Campbell being less than I thought he was.
