Total Nonsense, half of Jerry Jones wealth is DIRECTLY TIED to the fact that the Dallas Cowboys is a money maker. Him building the current stadium gave him a billion dollars outright after 2 years in value.Comment

Considering how this sport is really not that Popular compared to other sports...yeah you can make a strong argument that ALL of these fighters are overpaid especially when guys are getting paid big money but yet they're not even much of a DRAW. They don't sell much tickets and they don't move the needle ratings wise but yet they're getting paid MILLIONS basically just for showing up and fight anybody
That being said Networks and Apps are still spending big money on the sport so it is BIG MONEY to be made in this sport. However, it would indeed be better IF guys was actually earning their money instead of them being overpaid not because they're worth it but more so because DAZN, Top Rank, PBC or whoever want to show each other up. Now this is great for the fighters and they're getting paid in the process and in the middle of this massive Split in boxing among Promoters and Networks/Apps
With that being said, no I don't want to see Boxers get Peanuts like the UFC while UFC itself rack in BILLIONS. People tune in to see the TALENT, not the Brand!Last edited by sicko; 08-29-2019, 11:52 PM.Comment

Boxing is currently in a slump because Haymon is trying to monopolize the game. Fairly simple. The overpaying started with Haymon to steal fighters, and now he moves his pieces very carefully, to not lose any belts to outside sources.Last edited by SplitSecond; 08-30-2019, 05:31 AM.Comment
