anyone on here into riding dirt bikes? have some questions to ask. how much of a difference is there between an auto and manual? is the auto still fast and fun to ride? reason why i am asking this is there is a used dirt bike for $300 but it's an auto that im interested in picking up just to ride around. im not familiar with dirt bikes so just wanna see if an auto would any any fun at all?

There are no automatic competition dirt bikes. If you are looking at one that is auto then it has to be something like a trail bike or something. I say $300.00 is a good deal for just about any fully functional bike that an adult can ride so knock yourself out. (not literally) -

yeah this is not a competition type dirt bike. i just want something cheap and easy for me to learn and get the hang of it before moving on to a manual transmission bike. but i also dont want something that is slow. that's why i am asking if auto dirt bike is any fun to ride?I raced MX for several years and I'll answer.

In my opinion, all dirt bikes are super fun to ride and my racing/riding days were some of the best times I've ever had. I was a little too ballsy for my own good 17-ish years ago. As far as transitioning from one to the other is a non-issue. After a day of riding, a bike with a clutch will become second nature to you and the balance required is pretty much just like a bicycle. One thing I can tell you is, rely on your back brake more so that the front until you get a lot of experience under you because you can easily wash the front wheel out from under you and you will be in the dirt quickly.yeah this is not a competition type dirt bike. i just want something cheap and easy for me to learn and get the hang of it before moving on to a manual transmission bike. but i also dont want something that is slow. that's why i am asking if auto dirt bike is any fun to ride?Comment

Yanks have consistently produced the best riders the world has ever seen, so I beg to differ. Why do brits always gotta be pricks? Is it an inferiority complex or something?Comment
