Are there real boxing fans on this forum?

I just saw an idiotic post by some poster called "Phenom". And he said AJ ducked Wladmir Klitschko, until Fury beat him, lol.

It's just laughable at this point. Do people on here actually watch boxing and follow the sport? Anthony Joshua and Fury/Wilder/Ruiz aren't from the same era. Fury/Wilder and Ruiz turned pro 5 and 4 years before him respectively. And there's no way he would've called out Wlad before he fought him and real boxing buffs know he had no business fighting Wlad because he was still green. Also, he started calling out Fury/Wilder at the right time and they both ducked him. ANything prior to that wasn't a duck on AJ's part.

This is Anthony Joshua's amateur era: Junior Fa, Joseph Parker, Tony Yoka, Joe Joyce and Hrgovic. So, the guy has basically overachieved immensely and he should be where these guys are right now.

    Stop the madness.

    Oh, I forgot.

Add Otto Wallin, Ivan DYchko and Sergey Kuzmin to the list of boxers in AJ's amateur era.

For a guy who has dominated Fury/Wilder's era and would dominate his own era - most of you clowns need to bow down when you see AJ. He's the king of two eras of heavyweight boxing.

So you're saying an era is 4-5 years?
Also, Ruiz and Joshua are from different eras even though there both 29?
      That's some interesting reasoning.

Age doesn't determine era since AJ started boxing late. Ruiz and Fury turned pro at 18, while AJ started boxing at the same age.

Eras in boxing is based on those you went through the amateur ranks with. Just as they use underage competitions in other sports.

OK. I see your point. It's as if every Olympic boxer who turns pro is from a different era than the boxers of the previous Olympics.
Have to think about that one.

So you wanted AJ to be in his mid 30s before he was ready to fight for a title? Fury was younger than AJ when he went to Germany and fought Klitschko that same AJ who suddenly was ready for a world title fight against Martin few months after Fury beat Klitschko

It's idiotic to think a 30 year old is still in his amateur era

You’re a dummy and you don’t understand context.

Fury turned pro in 2008. AJ turned pro in 2013.

You are the last person that should be bytching about anyone else being “a real boxing fan”.

99% of your posts are nothing but anti American bullshyte. If you want to point fingers, I’m sure there’s a mirror close by.

Typical brute emotional yank and ad hominem attack when someone isn’t sucking America off, lol.

The fact that I don’t rate anything American doesn’t mean I’m anti-American and it definitely has nothing to do with this thread.

Don’t derail the thread, you muppet.
