Rigo attempted exactly what Canelo is doing with Kovalev #LOMA

    Just so you guys know...

Rigo and Loma have a far bigger age gap than Canelo and Kovalev.

Rigo went 8lbs to Lomachenko and even though it was the WBO, Loma was not allowed to exceed 140lbs the morning of! This rehydration clause was public.

Canelo is going 15lbs from 160, or if you want to say 168, 7lbs, and this too could have a morning cap the day of the fight...

What’s the difference, Loma was applauded for this matchup and NSB’s whom loved the narrative to root for a EU fighter to beat the black guy is a trademark thing at NsB. Let’s keep it 100.

Therefore, you guys need to quit pretending that you don’t want a Mexican to beat a Russian. That’s all it comes down to. Always and subtextually racially motivated debates: one from the LDBC whom hate Canelo because Spence, Crawford, Wilder, or Charlo Sisters aren’t Alvarez.

Then we’ve got the “why you hating on EU fighters fo!?” fans to debate with.

    WAR CANELO!!

Yes. Only if Canelo jumps for Gvozdyk instead of Kovalev.

Kov. Aint in his prime like Loma. It aint even close to being the same. The fact that right after Kov. Won someone said "Sergey proved he is ready for Canelo". The bigger fighter proved that he was ready for the guy coming up?

Rigo moved up and fought a guy who was basically viewed as unbeatable.

Kov isn't 31. Canelo needs to fight any of the other 3 champions, who are in their prime. Not older fighters who lost 3 fights recently.

Plus Rigo called out Loma, and Loma took it cause he was in a no win situation. Loma didn't go after that fight after he moved up.

November 18, Carl Moretti of Top Rank revealed a re-hydration clause on the contract. Both fighters agreed to weigh in at 09:00 on the morning of the fight, where they would not be able to exceed 138 pounds.
Both he and the champion weighed into as follows on fight day earlier on:

                Lomachenko 137.4lbs
                Rigondeaux 130lbs
Lomachenko has typically come into fights weighing around 138. Maybe 140 if you're pushing it.

What’s the difference, Loma was applauded for this matchup and NSB’s whom loved the narrative to root for a EU fighter to beat the black guy is a trademark thing at NsB. Let’s keep it 100.
Don't bull**** it. Many posters on here/casuals in general were talking ****, "Loma will never fight Rigo" "Rigo will school Loma". Those same complainers are now crying about the weight class difference even though they were **** talking before the fight.

I said before this fight even got made, that:
                A) Loma was going to win
                B) That Nicholas Walters himself would have even beaten Rigo
                C) It wasn't as interesting as people thought

It was an overrated match-up, that tons of ****talkers (including Rigo) pushed to get made.

Of course, trademark anti-white rhetoric has to swap to discrediting the victory, even though we all know they were the ones calling for the fight in the first place...

And one more thing: this fight got offered 2 years prior to this one, at 126 lbs. Rigo ducked out of that fight. He didn't want to move up in weight, which is totally okay.

As far as I recall, Lomachenko was getting ***** on because he was fighting a guy going up 2 weight classes. Yet, people still thought Lomachenko was getting humiliated because of his loss to Salido (which really made no sense, but OK) and how good Rigondeaux was. Rigo is then humiliated. Loma goes up in weight and fights the longest standing champ there, and KO's him. As it stands today, NONE of us know if Lomachenko has his the ceiling yet.

Kovalev on the other hand is NOT the same guy who IMO beat Andre Ward in their 1st fight. Since that fight Kovalev has gone on to lose twice by TKO and was hurt in this last fight by a VERY inexperienced guy who apparently didn't spar once in training???

So removing weight class jumps, Canelo going up to fight Kovalev is not even remotely close to Rigondeaux going to fight Lomachenko.

The two fights aren't the same at all. Canelo is cherry picking the old past prime thrice beaten light heavyweight champion when there are 3 young undefeated light heavyweight champions he could have tried to fight. Rigo challenged the best champion. Nobody knows yet if Canelo will demand a catchweight to drain Kovalev. You aren't a boxing fan. You are an over the top Canelo lover and a hater of some excellent fighters. If you were a real boxing fan wouldn't make multiple daily threads hating on GGG and Spence. You would not call the Charlo BROTHERS the Charlo sisters. You are just a Canelo fanboy and a disgusting hater of many great boxers.
